  • To know what you’re doing

What is an airplane? It’s a machine. An incredible complex and sophisticated machine. But at the end of the day it is a tool. A tool, that can carry hundreds of passengers over a distance of thousands of kilometers at an altitude of thousands of meters at speeds close to the sound barrier.

What is an airplane if an untrained amateur who does not know what he or she is doing is sitting front left at the controls? It’s a death trap.

The problem with modern (information) technology is, that it is easy to get, more and more easy to use and there is no certification required to use it. This leads to people using it who do not know how to use it.

If an AI bot tells you it is okay to harm your neighbors and you do it, it is not the AI bot that goes to jail, it is you. It is your responsibility to take the bot’s response to a question, let it go through your on perception of reality and personal knowledge and decide if this is the way to go or if it is utter nonsense that came out of there.

I have observed that people treat AI responses as “the truth” without questioning it. Sure, you can do that, but then deal with the consequences and don’t say “But AI said so”.

AI is a tool and it is your responsibility to know how to use it and to use it properly.
